Barcelona officially announced this week the signing of Spanish international midfielder Rodri for a reported fee exceeding £65 million. Over the past few years, the former Manchester City star has established himself as one of the finest defensive midfielders in world football. He played a pivotal role during the most glorious era in City's history and captained Spain to glory at both UEFA Euro 2024 and the recently concluded 2026 FIFA World Cup. On an individual level, Rodri also claimed the 2024 Ballon d'Or and the Golden Ball at the 2026 World Cup.
